Oak Tree Animals Charity

Oak Tree Animals’ Charity believes that every animal matters.

We have long been involved with the welfare of equines, being founded in 1909, by Francis Cox, to campaign for better working conditions for pit ponies and other working horses. Today the Charity not only rehabilitates the animals that come into their care, but also finds new homes for equines, on a loan arrangement, working with adopters by offering the help and support necessary for both equine and adopter to live a long and happy life together.

We have a proactive approach to equine welfare within our community providing practical support at the heart of the community and education opportunities to help promote responsible equine ownership.
