Potential:   Beau is a pretty little filly estimated to reach about 13hh once she is mature. She arrived at Belwade Farm unhandled and with time and patience her groom has done a brilliant job of gaining Beau’s confidence. Beau is now happy to be caught, led, groomed and have her feet trimmed by the farrier. As a young pony this regular handling will have to be continued to ensure that she is ready and willing to move on to training for riding or driving. Beau is estimated to be rising three years old and she should be ready to start groundwork towards the end of this year with a view of light backing and bringing on over the next couple of years. Beau has the potential to make a great children’s pony with the right training. Beau is currently living out full time with other mares and fillies. She is sociable and too young to be left alone, so Beau will need a home where she will have company. Due to her type she is likely to need her diet managed to prevent her from gaining too much weight and risking the development of health problems in the future
