History:
Anastasia came in to Glenda Spooner Farm in March 2014 with 3 other mares. They were all unhandled and very anxious about their new surroundings. After the initial settling in period, Anastasia started an intense handling program and was successfully rehomed. She returned in August 2015.

Potential:   Anastasia is a sweet natured mare who is looking for a home as a non ridden companion. On arrival at the centre Anastasia was an unhandled 15 year old who was very wary of her new surroundings. With a lot of patience and understanding from her groom, she has proven to be very clever and so long as she is asked in the right way, picks things up very quickly. She has a quiet, reserved nature but as time has gone on Anastasia has come out of her shell and is now happily turned out 24/7 with a mixture of mares and is comfortable with different people walking up to her and saying hello. She is a great companion but may take time to settle in to a new routine and due to having a bout of laminitis in the past, she will need restricted grazing. Ana has not had any laminitis since returning to Glenda Spooner Farm and has had regular vet checks. We would very much like to find a quiet home with an experienced handler who is looking for a field companion and who also has the time to continue bonding with Ana on the ground.
