Applying for NEWC membership
NEWC Membership categories accepted at the April 2008 AGM and introduced in January 2009. These are outlined in the Constitution and application details are as listed. Please read NEWC’s joining criteria before applying for any particular category.

NEWC Membership Categories & Subscriptions
FULL EQUINE WELFARE MEMBER
Welfare organisations involved in the keeping of horses, ponies, donkeys & hybrids thereof, having passed inspection by NEWC and having achieved registered charity status. (See Assessment Criteria)
- Full voting rights
- Listing of equines requiring rehoming, job vacancies and members news items on NEWC website
- Representation to parliament and government bodies
- Free attendance at meetings
- E-news & updates
- Topical issues/seasonal reminders

FULL WELFARE MEMBER
Other non-horse keeping organisations having welfare as one of their main aims (as per NEWC Constitution).
To include breed societies, veterinary organisations, scientific organisations and educational organisations.

- Free attendance at meetings

ASSOCIATE EQUINE MEMBER
Businesses involved in the keeping of horses, ponies, donkeys & hybrids thereof, and passing inspection by NEWC. To include riding schools, livery yards and retirement livery yards. (Inspection fees apply – please note that this is not an approval scheme and it is recommended that organisations are approved by relevant member bodies)
- Attendance at meetings (Nominal fee may apply /limited spaces)
- Listing of job vacancies and members news items on NEWC website
- E-news & updates
- Topical issues/seasonal reminders
Associate Equine Member Application Form
ASSOCIATE MEMBER
Commercial businesses associated with the equine or equestrian industry. To include saddlers, tack shops, feed companies etc.
- Attendance at meetings (Nominal fee may apply /limited spaces)
- Listing of job vacancies and members news items on NEWC website
- E-news & updates
- Topical issues/seasonal reminders

FRIENDS OF NEWC
This applies to a member of any category gifting extra funds as a donation in addition to their annual subscription. Credit will be given to each donating organisation on the NEWC website, in NEWC information packs and in the NEWC annual accounts.
