Applying for NEWC membership

Changes and additions to Membership categories accepted at the April 2008 AGM will be introduced in January 2009.  These are outlined in the Constitution and application details will be posted on this page in due course.

NEWC Membership Categories & Subscriptions

1st January 2007

FULL WELFARE MEMBER    Annual Subscription £125

Welfare organisations involved in the keeping of horses, ponies, donkeys & hinnies and passing inspection by NEWC. (See Assessment Criteria)

To include retirement livery yards.

Benefits:          Full voting rights

                          Website Secure Member area, Event Calendar, Notice Board etc.

                          Representation to parliament and government bodies

                          Credibility for organisation on passing inspection

                          Free attendance at meetings

                          E-news & updates

                          Topical issues/seasonal reminders

FULL MEMBER     Annual Subscription £100

Other non-horse keeping organisations having welfare as one of their main aims (as per NEWC Constitution). 

To include breed societies, veterinary organisations, scientific organisations etc.

Benefits:         Full voting rights

                         Representation to parliament and government bodies

                         Free attendance at meetings

                         E-news & updates

                         Topical issues/seasonal reminders

                         Website Secure Member area, Event Calendar, Notice Board etc.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER         Annual Subscription £50

Commercial businesses: saddlers, tack shops, livery yards, feed companies etc.

No voting rights

Benefits:          Attendance at meetings — small fee to cover refreshments

                          E-news & updates
