World Horse Welfare is an international charity that improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning and hands-on care.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring individual to join a great team of fundraisers. This position is full time and could be based at our office in Central London or at our Head Office in Norfolk. The role requires some travel to attend events around the UK and at our four centres located in Norfolk, Somerset, Lancashire and Aberdeenshire.
The main aim of this role is to support the Director of Fundraising with the development and expansion of the charity’s major donors the main focus being one on one fundraising. You will be required to engage and retain current and new high level prospects as well as assisting with the coordination of a programme of high value fundraising and engagement events and working with individual supporters.
We are looking for a driven individual with experience in a fundraising or marketing role ideally within a non-profit organisation. You must possess excellent research and writing skills, be confident and personable with diplomacy in order to deal positively with some of the charity’s most valuable supporters. Equine knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential. You must have a flexible approach to your work and be willing to work outside of normal office hours.
