The Mare and Foal Sanctuary would not have been able to help so many horses without our committed volunteers. If you’d like to join us and do something worthwhile with your time we’d love your help. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us for more information. Unfortunately we can’t accept volunteers less than 18 years of age.
Stables. You would help with the mucking out, grooming and general welfare of the horses, but we regret we can’t offer riding in return as our horses often aren’t suitable for inexperienced riders. You can do whatever times suit you at either our Honeysuckle Farm site near Newton Abbot or our Coombe Park site near Totnes.
Visitor’s Centre. We need volunteers to help at our Visitor’s Centre near Totnes to show visitors around the site, help in the cafe and keep the place looking tidy.
Our Charity Shops also need volunteers to help sort, clean, price and serve in the shops. This can be a very rewarding and interesting job suitable for all ages. Pop into one of our shops and ask or contact us at the office.
