Our Procurement Department works to ensure that the Charity makes the best use of its resources by seeking value for money on ethical and sustainable third party spend, offering strategic advice and guidance on purchasing and supply issues, managing supply risk and providing operational support. We work with a network of UK and Internationally based suppliers covering such diverse categories of spend as animal welfare, feed and veterinary supplies; utilities, building and facilities management products and services; capital equipment and projects; marketing and communication services and IT and telecoms, general administration and professional services. Possessing previous experience of working within a Procurement environment, and excellent organisational skills, you will support the Procurement Category Lead and Specialists during the delivery of complex and/or high value procurement strategies and procedures, and take the lead on low value and/or low risk procurement activities. Able to demonstrate excellent collaborative skills, and the ability to successfully interact with people at all levels, you will work with internal stakeholders to identify potential suppliers, new opportunities, innovative solutions, negotiate commercial terms and arrange for the purchase, delivery and continuing supply of goods. You will lead on the preparation of Invitations to Tender, Requests for Quotation and further competitions against framework agreements, as well as developing evaluation criteria and matrices, making contract award recommendations and developing contract terms and conditions. You will also deliver a portfolio of end-to-end procurement projects, and manage the administrative elements of the procurement procedures – including supplier due diligence, contract award and supplier relationship management – across the wider Procurement Team.
