The Donkey Sanctuary Brand and Design Manager


Innovative, open to new ideas, and able to demonstrate extensive contemporary knowledge of design practices and trends, you will oversee all multi-collateral design projects for a wide range of target audiences, from conception to delivery to deliver a consistent visual brand. You will control the design and production of marketing communications materials and products, achieving improved print, fulfilment and postal purchasing efficiencies whilst increasing workflow efficiency, whilst advocating best environmental practice on all requirements.

Positively interacting and working closely with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, you will negotiate with the charity’s suppliers to ensure The Donkey Sanctuary is buying services as effectively as possible, lead, motivate and develop your team in line with the Charity’s strategic aims and objectives, champion best practice in design and print to internal clients and develop guidelines and protocols accordingly, and maintain excellent relationships with all Donkey Sanctuary departments, acting as an ambassador for the Marketing Communications Directorate at all times.

A wide breadth of experience of implementing and managing visual brand, and designing for print, online and digital media, together with high levels of creativity and self-motivation, is essential, as are an exceptional attention to detail, proven experience of overcoming technical and conceptual barriers, and excellent communication, writing, IT and information presentation skills. Proven digital skills, including experience of updating content on the web, and the ability to demonstrate an understanding of SEO, social and digital audience behaviour, is desirable.
