The British Horse Society is the nation’s largest equine charity with a passion for horses that is backed by knowledge and expertise. The BHS represents and provides a range of services for horse riders, horse owners, enthusiasts and professionals.

As PA to the Chief Executive and Chairman you will be responsible for the effective operation of the Department and for providing full and comprehensive secretarial support to the Chief Executive and Chairman. Within this busy and highly visible role you will manage a small team, ensuring a highly efficient service at all times. You will undertake all secretarial work including diary and meeting management, correspondence and meeting minutes and circulation. Supporting the Board of Trustees you will maintain communications with Trustees, ensure relevant processes are adhered to and manage the election processes.

You will be responsible, in conjunction with the Chief Executive, for hospitality at major events during the equestrian season, which will require you to be comfortable with liaising with both VIPs and Royalty.

This role requires an exceptionally organised and motivated person with significant secretarial experience at Board level and the ability to manage work and people with diplomacy and confidentiality. Equine knowledge is desirable but not essential.
