Bransby Horses DONATED GOODS & TACK ASSISTANT – PART TIME

JOB DESCRIPTION

Liase With:

  • The Equine Welfare Team
  • Supporter services
  • The Public
  • Suppliers

Working Hours: 20 per week, over 3 days (to include occasional weekends).

Annual Salary / Pay Per hour: National Minimum Wage

Main Purpose of the Job:

  • Clean, assess suitability and organise the preparation of tack and rugs for online sales, events and the donated goods and tack shop.
  • Support in organising the donated tack and rug sales
  • Ordering on behalf of the Charity

Main Duties:

  • To assess the suitability of the donated goods and tack
  • Cleaning of rugs
  • Cleaning and preparing tack and goods for reuse or sale
  • Pricing of equipment for re-sale
  • Cash handling of sales
  • Restocking the donated tack and goods shop and rotating stock
  • Reviewing stock levels for the Charity’s equines
  • Online sales
  • Attend external events to generate an income
  • Support events by preparing for the sale and dismantling the area after the event
  • KPI reporting
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
  • Assist with the ordering for the welfare department
  • Collecting donations locally

Knowledge & Experience
  • Previous experience of working in an equines sales environment (E)
  • Knowledge of equine equipment (E)
  • Knowledge of prices and uses of equine specific tack and goods (E)
  • Experience of using Gift Aid (D)
