At the NEWC meeting in November 2011 amendments to the Constitution were accepted by the Council.
This is an agreement between members working to mutually agreed aims. It is for the membership to ensure that the NEWC Management Board carries out their duties correctly. This Constitution illustrates that NEWC is democratic and accountable, with clear methods by which decisions are made.
This Constitution is important because it is a written understanding and a point of reference to help resolve any problems or controversy that may arise. It also reassures the public and funding bodies that NEWC is properly run and that money is effectively managed.
